Charles Soriano, Operating Partner
Charles Soriano is a C-suite consumer products executive with over two decades of experience in strategic repositioning, operational transformation and sustainable growth of public, private and PE-backed international brands, including Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, Estée Lauder and Josie Natori. He has driven value creation, concept-to-customer execution and new market entry across multiple distribution channels, while connecting strategy, finance, and operations management to maximize customer engagement for highly creative businesses.
Charles is an Operating Partner with Humankind Capital, where he reinforces due diligence for potential investments, and identifies value-creating opportunities for operational improvement, strategic growth and potential synergies across the portfolio. His leadership experiences comprise North Star strategy, go-to-market execution, supply chain optimization, process reengineering, organizational development, capital efficiency, and corporate governance. Charles serves as a key operational and financial advisor to fund management and portfolio businesses due to his expertise in complex international businesses and guiding cross-functional teams through transformation.
Most recently, Charles was the private equity operating executive for an UHNW family office, working directly with portfolio company founders and management as the turnaround CFO/COO across consumer and industrial sectors. As Ralph Lauren’s Hong Kong-based operations executive, he led efforts to integrate, transform and scale the retail and product platform, elevating the brand and growing the Greater China and SE Asia business to over US$200M.
Charles holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is an avid long-distance runner, a proud member of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Fred's Team, raising funds for cancer research, and a former Board Member of the HBS PRIDE Alumni Association.
